NSF Graduate Research Fellowships - Info Session

Tuesday, June 16, there will be an information session about NSF Graduate Research Fellowships. The session will be at 11:00, Piedmont Room, Student Center.

Seniors, first year graduate students, and first semester second year graduate students are eligible to apply.

Fellowships are for three years, $30,000 per year plus $10,500 per year to cover tuition and $1000 international conference travel fund.

Information will be presented by the GT Fellowship Office and by an NSF reviewer. Students at any level are encouraged to attend.

International Parliamentary Scholarships (IPS)

Are you interested in politics? Would you like to gain insight into the workings of democracy?

Every year, 120 young people from 28 countries have the opportunity to take part in the International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS) program in Berlin.

IPS offers recent graduates an internship in the office of a Member of the Bundestag, the German parliament. Combined with a supplementary academic program organized by Berlin's three universities and the fun of being together with people from other nations, a unique experience awaits you in the German capital.

What the Bundestag expects of you:
  • Interest in politics
  • Excellent knowledge of German
  • College degree (B.A., B.S.)
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Born after March 1, 1980
What you can expect:
  • Monthly stipend of EUR 450
  • Free accommodations
  • Health, accident, and liability insurance
  • Reimbursement of your travel expenses to and from Berlin
